In 2022, after 'Long Shadow: 9/11’s Lingering Questions' won a Signal Award for Best History Podcast, the challenge for a second season became clear: More and better… but how?

In 2023, the Garrett M. Graff-helmed podcast teamed up with Campside Media, for Long Shadow: Rise of the American Far Right, a season examining a thread of history that’s vitally relevant to our current political climate. The seven-episode season was awarded a Gold Signal Award for Best Editing in a limited series.

The accolade marks Long Lead’s second straight win at the annual industry event. Weaving together extensive interviews and riveting archival audio, the most recent season of 'Long Shadow' takes listeners on a tour of modern domestic extremism from the 1992 Ruby Ridge raid through the January 6 insurrection. Since its launch, the limited series has garnered rave reviews, including Mashable calling it one of the best podcasts of 2023.
